Prevailing Prayer and Mission
PU RISING carries a simple conviction:
We pray because God has given us a burden.
We go because God has given us a mission.
Prayer and mission are not competing activities.
They belong together.
We pray before we go.
We pray as we go.
We pray for those we meet.
We pray for the places we serve.
And we continue praying after we return.
PRAYER AND MISSION
Prayer connects us with the heart of God.
Mission takes us to the people God loves.
Prevailing prayer prepares the Church for mission, and mission gives prayer a field in which to be expressed.
We therefore seek to develop believers who are both:
Prayerful and missional.
Not merely people who talk about the harvest, but people who pray for the harvest and enter it.
PRAY FOR THE LOST
We pray for people who do not yet know Christ.
We pray for families.
We pray for communities.
We pray for churches.
We pray for cities, towns and villages.
We pray for nations.
We pray for workers to be sent into the harvest.
Prayer changes the one who prays and prepares the way for Gospel witness.
GO INTO THE HARVEST
Jesus calls His followers to go.
PU RISING therefore moves beyond prayer gatherings into communities and mission fields.
We go to listen.
We go to serve.
We go to proclaim Christ.
We go to make disciples.
We go wherever God opens a door.
The harvest is not somewhere far away.
It begins where God has already placed us.
EVANGELISM, DISCIPLESHIP AND SERVICE
Our mission is holistic and Christ-centered.
EVANGELISM
We proclaim the Gospel and invite people to respond to Jesus Christ.
DISCIPLESHIP
We help new believers grow in faith, Scripture, prayer and obedience.
SERVICE
We demonstrate the love of Christ through practical service and compassionate engagement with people and communities.
Our goal is not simply to gather crowds.
Our goal is to see disciples formed and multiplied.
PRAY & GO
The pattern is simple:
PRAY → EQUIP → GO → SERVE → PROCLAIM → DISCIPLE → MULTIPLY
The prayer room sends us to the field.
The field sends us back to prayer.
Together, we participate in the mission of God.
