SCHOOL OF PREVAILING PRAYER AND MISSION
A School for Worshipping Watchmen, Intercessors, Disciple-Makers and Mission Workers
The Prayer Union School of Prevailing Prayer and Mission is a training and mobilization platform of Prayer Union established to equip believers to live deeply in Christ, grow in the Word, become people of prevailing prayer, and participate actively in the mission of God.
We believe the Church is called to be more than a gathering of believers.
We are called to pray, watch, prevail, and send.
The School prepares men and women to move:
From the altar to the wall.
From the wall to the harvest.
From the harvest to discipleship.
From discipleship to multiplication.
From local obedience to the nations.
This is therefore not training for information alone.
It is training for formation, activation, obedience, and mission.
OUR IDENTITY
PRAY • WATCH • PREVAIL • SEND
The identity of the School is built around four movements.
PRAY
Return to the altar.
Develop a life of worship, prayer, Scripture, fasting, intercession, and dependence upon God.
WATCH
Take your place on the wall.
Learn to discern the purposes of God, watch over people and communities, and stand faithfully in intercession.
PREVAIL
Pray with perseverance and faith.
Learn to contend in prayer until God’s purposes are advanced and His Kingdom is expressed in people’s lives and communities.
SEND
Go into the harvest.
Put prayer into action through evangelism, discipleship, community ministry, church planting, mission, and multiplication.

OUR MANDATE
Prevailing Prayer Must Lead to Obedient Mission
The School is built upon a simple conviction:
Prevailing prayer must lead to obedient mission.
Prayer prepares the worker.
The Word forms the worker.
The Holy Spirit empowers the worker.
Mission sends the worker.
We therefore seek to develop men and women who can:
- Walk deeply with God
- Understand and practice prevailing prayer
- Become worshipping watchmen
- Intercede for people, communities, cities, and nations
- Understand the biblical foundation of mission
- Communicate the Gospel clearly
- Evangelize with courage and compassion
- Make disciples
- Equip disciple-makers
- Serve churches and communities
- Engage cross-cultural mission
- Establish prayer communities
- Plant and strengthen Prayer Union communities
- Mobilize others for prayer and mission
WHY THE SCHOOL EXISTS
The Church needs believers who know how to pray and go.
There is a need for:
Watchmen who will stand on the wall.
Intercessors who will carry the burden of God.
Evangelists who will proclaim Christ.
Disciple-makers who will establish believers.
Leaders who will equip others.
Mission workers who will go where God sends them.
The School exists to help prepare such workers.

AN INTERGENERATIONAL SCHOOL
The School is not restricted to one age group.
Rising is a spiritual response, not an age category.
A child can respond.
A young person can respond.
A parent can respond.
A pastor can respond.
An intercessor can respond.
A missionary can respond.
A senior believer can respond.
What unites us is not age.
What unites us is a response to God’s call.
This is why the School works naturally alongside PU RISING while remaining open to the whole Prayer Union movement.

We believe effective ministry preparation requires more than classroom instruction.

We don’t simply teach people about ministry.
We prepare people to participate in ministry.
FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE FIELD
The School is intentionally connected to the practical ministry expressions of Prayer Union.
Students may participate in:
- Town and village ministry
- Evangelism
- Discipleship
- Prayer walks
- Community outreach
- Mission fields
- Prayer Union planting
- Intercession for cities and nations
- Cross-cultural ministry
The classroom provides the foundation.
The field provides the opportunity to practice.
The field becomes an extension of the classroom.
The goal is not simply to produce graduates.
The goal is to release workers into the harvest.

Our desire is to see trained believers become faithful servants wherever God has placed or sent them.
