Prayer Union was born in the place where prayer, burden and mission came together.

Its story is rooted in Punjab, India, where God began awakening a desire to gather believers around the call to prevailing prayer and the mission of God. What began as a burden to seek God together has developed into a growing vision: to see believers return to the altar, take their place on the wall, and go into communities and nations with the Gospel.

Prayer Union was not conceived merely as another prayer meeting.

It was born from a conviction that the Church must recover the place of prayer as the foundation of mission.

Returning to the Altar

At the heart of Prayer Union is a call to return.

To return to God.

To return to the Word.

To return to prayer.

To return to the burden for people, communities and nations.

We believe that prevailing prayer is not simply asking God to bless our plans. It is learning to stand before God with His heart for people and His purposes for the nations.

As the Prayer Union vision developed, prayer and mission could no longer be separated.
