Equipping Prayer Leaders to Pray, Lead, Equip and Multiply
Prayer Union believes that a strong prayer movement requires strong prayer leaders.
Prayer Leader Training is designed to equip believers who are called or willing to serve as Prayer Union leaders, intercessors, Prayer Watch coordinators, prayer facilitators and emerging prayer leaders.
Our goal is not simply to produce people who can organize prayer meetings.
We seek to develop leaders whose lives are shaped by prayer and whose leadership helps others grow in prayer.
Our Leadership Conviction
PRAY FIRST. LEAD SECOND.
Prayer leadership begins with a personal relationship with God.
Before leading others in prayer, we encourage leaders to develop their own:
Prayer life
Biblical understanding
Character
Spiritual discipline
Servant heart
Commitment to unity
Ability to equip others
We believe that prayer ministry should flow from who we are becoming, not merely from what we are able to organize.
Why Prayer Leader Training?
Prayer leaders carry significant responsibility.
They help create environments where people can:
- Seek God
- Pray with Scripture
- Intercede for others
- Participate in united prayer
- Develop Prayer Watches
- Discover their calling
- Grow in spiritual maturity
- Learn to serve others
Without preparation, prayer leadership can easily become dependent on personality, routine or individual preferences.
Training helps leaders develop a biblical, healthy and sustainable approach to prayer ministry.
Who Is a Prayer Leader?
A Prayer Leader is someone who helps others participate meaningfully in prayer.
This may include:
PRAYER UNION LEADERS
